An extratropical cyclone, also known as a mid-latitude cyclone, is a large-scale low-pressure system that forms outside the tropics, typically between 30° and 60° latitude. These cyclones are associated with changes in weather patterns and can bring strong winds, precipitation, and temperature fluctuations.
