Week 8 of Term 2 is your dedicated revision window, and it is one of the most valuable weeks on the EMS calendar. With only two lessons available this week, the focus is entirely on consolidating everything your Grade 9 learners have covered since the start of the term. That includes the financial literacy concepts, economic principles, and business studies content that have built up over the past seven weeks.

Revision at this stage is not just about going over old notes. It is a chance to identify which learners have solid understanding and which ones need targeted support before assessments arrive. Learners should be coming in with some familiarity across the term’s topics, but do not be surprised if certain concepts need a second look. Financial statements, economic concepts, and business environments can feel abstract until learners revisit them with fresh eyes.

This Week’s Lesson Plan

This two-day revision plan is structured to cover the breadth of Term 2 content while giving learners the opportunity to practise and consolidate their understanding.

Day 1: Review and consolidation of the first half of Term 2 content, including key concepts, terminology, and worked examples. Learners work through revision questions individually and in pairs, with teacher-led feedback on common errors.

Day 2: Consolidation of the second half of Term 2 content with a focus on integration across topics. Learners complete a structured revision activity that mirrors assessment conditions, followed by class discussion and self-assessment.
